Training for Purpose

We Strive to provide Indigenous people with quality education and training opportunities that honour their individual needs and cultures. We work to build respect, comprehensive, and accessible learning environment that fosters empowerment and growth for our Indigenous communities.

On the 4th of July 2022 we took ownership of a Registered Training Organisation "RTO" — we are an indigenous corporation called “UNITED UPRISE TNQ”. Since 2019 the RTO has been successful in delivering training across Far North Queensland.

We deliver units that are associated with business, agriculture, conservation, land management and fire management. We strive to deliver the best training services and to meet all our customer’s needs, our trainers have been in the industry for many years and have great experience.

We regularly consult with our industry representatives to be sure our training meets their needs. Our assessment tools are updated regularly using industry experts to keep up to date with current industry policies and procedures.

The overall ambition of Training North Queensland "TNQ" is to empower Indigenous people by providing them with tailored training opportunities, that respect their cultural needs and preferences. Through this, the organisation aims to increase awareness of Indigenous Culture and contemporary issues, establish clear pathways for employment, collaborate with industry partners to create supportive networks, and provide culturally appropriate services and training that promote personal growth and development.

United Uprise TNQ seeks to strengthen the relationships between Indigenous people with the intention to lead to stronger and more empowered individuals and organisations.

The Goal of TNQ is to provide Indigenous peoples with quality education and training opportunities that respect their individual needs and cultures. We are committed to creating a respectful, comprehensive, and accessible learning environment that enables Indigenous communities to reach their full potential.
